Exhibition Overview

This exhibition marks the inaugural show of ‘vvgg (Very Very Good Gallery)’, newly opened within Ground Seoul. It serves as a concise embodiment of the gallery’s vision: the convergence of art and life.


2F - “Morphosis”

Curated by Choi Jaeil (former Director of the Korea Craft & Design Foundation), Morphosis explores the intersection of Korean craft traditions and contemporary aesthetics. Featured are works by eight distinguished artists -Kang Sukkeun, Kim Syyoung, Kim Joonyong, Yoon Sanghyun, Lee Kyouhong, William Lee, Lee Jaiik, Jang Seokhyun - who represent the current landscape of Korean craft. This floor presents a nuanced world where heritage and modern sensibilities coexist.


3F - “Art Furniture for Life”

This floor is dedicated to the genre of art furniture, offering a curated look at its artistry and functionality. Choi Byunghoon, a pioneer in Korean art furniture and the exhibition's curator, also participates as an exhibiting artist. Alongside him, Kwak Chulan, Kim Jeongseob, Yoon Saerom, Rim Kwangsoon, Jung Myungtaek and Hwang Hyungshin present aesthetically refined and functional furniture pieces.


4F - “Art for Soul, Art for Living”

The top floor brings together painting, photography, ceramics, and sculptural objects in an emotive and immersive experience. Artists Koo Seongyoun, Kwon Hyeseong, Son Solnip, Seo Giyeol, Shin Sangho, Lee Hunchung, Yue Minjun, Ha Dongchul explore themes of life, introspection, and artistic experimentation. The works on view blend everyday aesthetics with conceptual depth, expanding the language of contemporary form.
